    Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the Product Marketing Manager is responsible for successfully evangelizing GovDelivery product in an effort to drive product adoption and help customers realize the maximum value from our platform. The Product Marketing Manager will manage the product launch process ensuring all departments are prepared to market, sell, implement and support new applications and feature sets. This individual will assist in developing new products from existing ideas and developing new ideas based on industry/market, interfacing effectively and cross-functionally with Marketing, Development, Sales, Product Management and Business Operations.

    The successful candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to bridge the gap between sales and marketing requirements, efficiently bringing new products to market.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive the product marketing launch process across company teams (Marketing, Sales, Development, Client Services, Operations):
      • Define product positioning of new features and drive creation of sales training and collateral for Federal, State and Local sales teams
      • Ensure pricing strategy is in place prior to release
      • Define and manage feature releases into either GA or Beta
      • Ensure effective communication of new releases to existing user base
    • Evangelize GovDelivery product offerings and provide leadership in communicating GovDelivery’s point of view inside and outside the company as to why capabilities function a certain way and how they can be used to enable customers to realize mission value
    • Bring together and prioritize the point of view of the sales organization with respect to product development needs
    • Develop strategic product marketing campaigns in conjunction with marketing team to promote the use and, where premium capabilities exist, purchase of new capabilities
    • Work with sales and company leadership to define and manage profitable product bundle and positioning strategy leveraging both existing and new features
    • Assist in creation of customer case studies that promote specific use cases of GovDelivery (e.g., “How GovDelivery is used for neighborhood crime alerts)
    • Work with Data Analyst to define and leverage metrics relevant to product marketing, including vertical industry performance, feature usage and best practices
    • Analyze potential GovDelivery technology and product partners

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • 5 + years product marketing experience (post-degree work experience)
    • Demonstrated ability to convey thought leadership and product mastery intraditional and social media
    • Experience in SaaS product company
    • CRM expertise. Salesforce.com preferred
    • Expertise in email and digital marketing Positive and focused team player with passion for learning and teaching
    • Excellent communication skills

    COMPENSATION

    The compensation package will be tailored to the candidate commensurate with candidate’s experience and skills. Compensation will include base salary and performance-based incentives.
