    Management Concepts, Inc., is currently recruiting for a Consultant – Product Development Lead to join our Leadership and Management Division. In this role, you will be part of an integrated team focused on providing high-impact leadership, management, and professional skill development and consulting services to government and commercial clients. Our services are aligned with the needs and goals of our clients and are both innovative and pragmatic. We focus on improving individual, team, and organizational performance to achieve optimal organizational results.

    The consultant will be responsible for contributing to the business unit by leading our product development efforts and maintaining our curriculum architecture. We seek a consultant with a blend of domain expertise in leadership, management, and professional skill development, combined with adult learning, individual and organizational improvement methodologies, and proven consulting skills. Additionally, because this is a “lead” role, a desire to lead and manage a portfolio of product development efforts in collaboration with others is required. The Consultant will report to the Practice Leader of the Leadership and Professional Skills Practices.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Using our product lifecycle methodology, manage the portfolio of products offered from the Leadership and Professional Skills Practices
    • Promote and maintain our learning philosophy and product development standards across all products offered within the Leadership and Professional Skills Practices
    • Collaborate with the business unit staff and clients in the design, development, and delivery of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom client solutions as well as maintain and enhance existing products within a portfolio
    • Contract for and manage subject matter experts (SMEs) as needed to develop targeted products
    • Utilize critical and systems thinking skills to understand the leadership and professional skill development needs of our customers and clients and ensures these needs are addressed in our offerings
    • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on leadership, management, and/or professional development while collaborating with instructional designers in the development of learning products and services
    • Collaborates with other consultants in the development of high-quality technical proposals and presentations to capture new client work
    • Supports business development by meeting with potential and existing clients and customers to offer technical expertise and guidance on our products
    • Collaborates with the Learning Services Lead to estimate the time and materials needed to deliver of customized client work
    • Effectively and appropriately integrate learning technologies into our products
    • Collaborates with others within the business unit to ensure marketing collateral, including the annual catalog, is accurate and ready for production
    • Contributes to the thought leadership and innovation in order to advance the Leadership and Professional Skills Practices
    • Keeps abreast of emerging trends in the fields of leadership and individual and organization improvement
    • Graduate degree in Leadership, Human Resource Development, Business, or related field
    Experience Required:
    • Minimum of 5 years of leadership development consulting and instructional design experience to government and/or commercial organizations
    • Domain expertise in leadership, management, and individual and organization performance improvement
    • Experience in a lead product development role, with an emphasis on leading the development of a wide range of products within a portfolio
    • Ability to assess client needs and develop solutions
    • Strong analytical and interpersonal capabilities coupled with a understanding of leadership and professional skills development and effective adult learning principles
    • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
    • Mature interpersonal and social skills demonstrated both internally with staff and externally with clients
    • Demonstrated experience in portfolio management of numerous products
    • Experience in program and project design and delivery, consultative sales, and/or professional services
