    Job Description:

    The Senior Proposal Manager/Writer is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, facilitating, and executing proposals for Public Sector and Commercial business opportunities. The Senior Proposal Ma
    nager/ Writer will utilize his/her extensive understanding of the proposal development process; is an enthusiastic and ambitious person; works well under pressure; makes decisions quickly or seeks guidance when necessary; and works seamlessly on a remote basis and with others. Primary duties include managing the full life cycle of proposal development, analyzing RFPs/RFIs/RFQs/white papers, collaborating with both internal and client representatives
    to gather necessary information, and developing the proposals (writing, editing, proof-reading, packaging and delivery). As the Proposal Manager/Writer, you must successfully manage multiple concurrent projects, accurately, thoroughly and under tight deadlines.

    Responsibilities:

    • Will exercise ownership of projects and has personal responsibility for proposal quality and RFP
    compliance with ability to meet deadlines while providing high-quality proposals.
    • Will lead, coordinate and participate in proposal development efforts including writing, formatting
    an d providing proposal presentation ideas that include graphics and other illustrations
    • Work with functional staff to ensure development of the proposal product in accordance with internal
    strategy and RFP compliance
    • Support capture manager by ensuring proposal reflects bid strategy
    • Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrix schedules, storyboards and other documentation
    associated with proposal development
    • Write compliant and compelling proposals that will address the customer’s hot buttons, missions and operation plans, in their words
    • Will also be responsible for developing and executing a capture plan, determining which people
    in the client organization to meet with and how to prepare for the meetings along with analyzing client organizations and competitors to create strategies for winning the opportunity
    • Provide real time training for new proposal team members
    • Coordinate and facilitate proposal review meetings

    Required Skills:

    • 5+ years proposal management experience with strong knowledge of the Public Sector proposal process
    • Ability to think out of the box and be creative
    • Ability to manage multiple proposals of varying cost/size simultaneously
    • Exte
    nsive experience writing, and editing proposals
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines
    • Must be well organized and possess excellent leadership, team building, and communication skills
    • Proofreading and editing skills are critical
    • Detail and multi-task oriented with a commitment to be part of a team

    Preferred Knowledge & Skill Areas:

    • Familiarity with Shipley Associates
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Microsoft
    Visio, Microsoft Publisher and Adobe Acrobat
    • General knowledge of the FAR/DFAR and supplemental agency regulations
    • Familiarity with New Media technologies
    • Familiarity with Desktop publishing
