    Hello;

    I have been told that my 52 weeks TIG (hired as GS-5 through VRA Appointment) does not count for a Career Ladder Promotion to GS-7 because in the interim, I briefly (for 2 months) took another Federal Job (different Classification with a higher PayGrade (GS-7) which meant that I had to start my TIG all over again when I returned to my original Job that I was initally hired into (GS-5). *I currently have 52 Weeks TIG – but not consecutive…

    In sum, does TIG for a Career Ladder Promotion have to be Consecutive or can it be Cumulative (esp. for a VRA Appointee)even if you change to a different Job Classification/Higher PayGrade during the same Timeframe (and back again)?

    Thank you for your thoughts…
