Business success depends on people – talented, motivated, agile people. Energy Efficiency (EE) is a dynamic organization that works with BPA’s customers, regional service providers, and governmental, non-profit organizations to improve the energy efficiency of end-use consumers across the Pacific Northwest. Energy Efficiency currently spends roughly $80 million per year on energy efficiency and an increasing amount on RD&D per year. BPA’s energy conservation activities are widely regarded as sound, efficient and effective.
This position is located in Planning and Evaluation. This organization provides program design, support and analysis to track, monitor and evaluate programs. Planning & Evaluation is also responsible for advanced communications technology R & D and market development to improve grid efficiency and optimize resources and implementing the energy web vision through demonstrations, pilot programs, education and collaboration with stakeholders, customers and constituents.
Major duties include:
Provides direction in the use of staff and other resources in the delivery of Energy Efficiency and Load Management Planning and Evaluation products and services
Participates as a member of key regional and national committees/boards that set the future direction of Energy Efficiency initiatives and programs
Serves as a member of Bonneville’s Energy Efficiency Management Team with responsibility for developing, implementing and evaluating all programs and policies which ensure the timely delivery of products and programs in support of BPA’s strategic business objectives
Develops staff resources by providing training, feedback, coaching, and performance reviews
Performs the full range of personnel management functions including selection of staff, initiating/authorizing personnel actions, recognizing and rewarding superior performance of direct reports, etc
