    It’s that time of year when we look to you and others to refer those individuals interested in a career with the VA as a Contract Specialist. As we have done in the past, we anticipate selecting another 30 interns in the summer of 2011. In the meantime, we are accepting resumes and unofficial transcripts from individuals that are excited about the mission of the VA and are interested in gaining the knowledge, skills and abilities to propel themselves into a fulfilling career as a trusted business advisor.

    Qualified candidates must possess:
    • A bachelor’s degree OR have completed at least 24 semester hours of coursework in certain business-related fields.
    • Willingness and ability to reside outside the Frederick, MD area for an extended amount of time for job rotations (over 3 months).
    • Willingness to participate in a three year training program located in Frederick, MD.
    • Willingness to move somewhere in the United States upon completion of the program.
