DC’s less rude, more PC/elitist/anal. Miami’s definitely a rude/raw city (having grown up there and don’t plan on moving back). NYC isn’t rude if you live there; it’s just unapologetic. Tourists tend to find it rude, and that’s probably b/c they don’t talk to strangers.

Lived here all my life. I have been to much more rude cities. I agree and disagree. All in all I am proud to live in the Nation’s Capital (or at least the outskirts).

I just read this morning that DC has been ranked the 3rd rudest city in America by Travel and Leisure… Ouch. The only ruder cities than us are New York City and Miami. Any native (or non-native) Washingtonians care to comment on this?

So I’m still relatively a newcomer to the DC area, and this will be my first 4th of July here. Seems like if there is anywhere to spend the 4th, this would be it, so I’m pretty excited. Does anyone know of any cool, patriotic activities to do this weekend here in the DC area?
