Where are you getting your information? How are you staying up-to-date with public information? For government agencies, are all of your messages getting to the right people? Does the average citizen know about you alerts and how your information can help them?

GovDelivery recently published an infographic that shows the power of government agencies’ reach and engagement. It’s pretty cool and I encourage you to check it out here. Government has a lot of content and sends a lot of messages- and this infographic is only the tip of the iceberg.

In the infographic, Sara, a mother, pharmacist and hopeful business owner is shown with all of the potential alerts she is registered for and how they are helping her in her daily life. The left side shows the problems with the right providing the government solutions. They include:

    • Getting health safety & medical recall updates from the FDA to fill prescriptions and sell over-the-counter medications safely.
    • Emails from the Small Business Administration to help her start her own pharmacy.
    • Department of the Interior’s updates on America’s parks to help her family.

You can check out the infographic here which has links to a bunch of case studies and white papers that go further into the different alerts government organizations are using to reach their citizens.
