Welcome to the official DoD Open Systems Architecture (OSA) GovLoop group.
OSA uses existing technology to produce modular, interoperable systems with open design practices that can be easily upgraded and thereby reduce costs. OSA often requires that the DoD possess Data Rights, which are necessary to control costs and maintain flexibility in the acquisition and sustainment of weapon systems.
The DoD OSA Data Rights Team is pushing for standard OSA language in contracts and an increase the workforce’s awareness of Data Rights information across the DoD enterprise.
We are releasing the DoD OSA and Data Rights Brochure and would like to encourage an active dialogue with interested parties. Please share your OSA-related knowledge and perspectives with us.
