It’s that time of year. We’re reviewing the evaluations and working out the schedules for next year’s conference. The Advisory Board will be meeting in just a few weeks to start planning next year’s event. I’d love to hear if anyone here in this group has any suggestions of topics, sessions, or speakers they’d like to see the board consider for next year.

I know I’m late responding to this, so I hope the comments are still relevent. I liked the conference a lot. As a first time attendee, I do have a few suggestions. First, although I liked the big plenary sessions with the heads of Federal Agencies associated with ADR, the actual sessions seemed to lack real substance. I think a much more interesting workship would be to put representatives of several agencies that interact with one another regarding ADR issues in a room and have a facilitator walk them through a process of making decisions about how they could increase effectiveness and efficiency by working more closely together. Second, I was very disapointed that the presenter who was talking about Friendships in the age of Facebook GovLoop, LinkedIn and Twitter did NOT HAVE A LIVE INTERNET [email protected]!! Third, when negotiating with the hotel, it would seem important and useful to have Wi-Fi access in the convention training rooms. Finally, Victor Voloshin was an outstanding presenter, and I would go to anything he presented next year.

Great suggestions. Thanks Tom. And not too late. The Advisory Board will be meeting next week.
