Enterprisers are all spread out about the country, and while the Enterprise Unit Leaders all know each other, sometimes the rest of us are too busy with billable hours to mingle. Since you've taken time to join GovLoop, why not take another two minutes and introduce yourself.
I'll go first. My name is Toni Stafford. I'm part of the Enterprise Program Office but have been doing mostly billable work for the past 3 years. My work is in the area of Organizational Development and Effectiveness. At present my projects are around facilitating transformation and I have projects at the National, Regional, and Forest Level. I joined Enterprise in 2001. I was in a unit called Interpretive Arts Unlimited which was disbanded October of 2005. I work out of my house in the Ozark Mountains of Northern Arkansas. We live on 40 acres and have 2 kids, 13 chickens, 2 cats and a dog. We harvest rain water and are erecting a wind generator next month.

Good idea Toni!
My name is Kristi Bray and I work for Recreation Solutions Enterprise Unit. I've been with RS since 2000. Prior to RS, I worked in the ski industry in marketing. My education in is Outdoor Recreation Management with a focus on wilderness management. When I started with RS, most of my time was focused on customer service oriented projects - the National Forest Store and customer service training. Although my work is still focused on delivering great customer service, I now focus on writing and editing stuff:)...which I love. I work 2 days a week -- one from home, one from my office in the Eldorado National Forest. I live in South Lake Tahoe, CA with my 2 boys (ages 6 & 4), husband, and crazy yellow lab. I'm a gardner, runner, cyclist, artist...and Mom!!

Greetings All and One!
My name is Alexander Meimand. I've been with the Enterprise Unit known as ODE (Organizational Development Enterprise) since June, 2010 as a STEP. I am in the process of becoming a SCEP and hopefully permanent and full time after I graduate with a Masters in Organization Development from Sonoma State University in May of 2011.
Current projects are in the realm of understanding and gaining insight into the breadth and depth of FS culture across all levels, applying systems thinking to the FS, and I hope to be a catalyst for change and guide through systemic work/task structural and behavioral transformation. I am very happy to be part of this team as well as lucky and honored to work with bright and brilliant individuals such as Toni.
On a more personal note I am a first Generation American, Persian and Jewish. I enjoy playing a number of instruments, swimming, cycling, I practice Tai-Chi, gardening, and meeting/sitting around the fire. I especially love having empty trash bins in the house because of eating food that I've grown and only buying from the bulk section = no packaging! I lived in San Francisco for 6 years until August of 2009 when I moved here to Penngrove, south Sonoma County. I currently live on 40 acres of land with fruit and nut tree's, wild turkey, cows, bulls, and Lama's.

Self Introduction & Link to Forestry Enterpisers Via Twin Project USA C2C
I am new to govloop, but not to "forestry & enterprise' releated topics. I am working on something called Twin Project USA C2C that links community to community and business to business via common boundry and interests. Have looked at quite a few forestry issues recently linked to my interests in strengthening forestry in USA, as is important not only for consevation & economic development but also pursuit of quality of life on a community & region basis. Clearly there are things that needs focus on a geography, and innovation supportive basis, that is important for Forestry issues.
Here in Virginia, forestry is a vital industry, both softwoods, but also priority need to strengthen hardwood forestry here. In fact, last time i looked, Forestry products is something like the 4th largest export for this state. similar numbers for NC as well. There are opportunities i have identified via PPP, as encouraged by the U.S governement Stimulous Package grants that are on the table now at the state level, mandated by U.S. Congress to be executed by local govie levels. There is opportunitie to strengthen Forestry based enterpises, via PPP, particularly in VA & NC, where i am in my own geography domain.
Big challange is to bring to the table, State forestry interests as well as private industry both small and large to execute PPP as can be done now !
For those who are interested in this VA-NC-WV geography for strengthenirng forestry and forestry enterprises, I welcome links and communications. Thanks.

Hi Avi, thanks for popping in. What is PPP?
October 5, 2010 at 3:42 pm #73385
What is a PPP ?
PPP is Private Public Partnership, a key requirement of the Stimulous Package (SP) Grant, now on the table on most major states like Virginia, to be executed via local govies, such as county or independent city as mandated by U.S. Congress.
Goal #1 SP Reduce Health Cost (By innovation)
Goals#2 SP Reduce Energy Cost (By Innovation)
I am focusing on two key opportunities for PPP as follows to link rural with urban as logical to do by tech innovaitons & social capital via Twin Project USA C2C, linking two communities, for example, Northern Virginia urban with rural Ozark & rural Shanandoah via event type 01 week-end event for small group (in the past, (40-60 attendees).
Also, an event type 02 Heritage Music event "live" linked to an existing country fair perhaps, but with a commuity foundation chartiy benefit element & geography based community outreach via non-commerical community tv net as added element.
draft proposals for both are discussed at twin.rhythmsamericana.net, still at beta now.
a 3 page summary is available for type 02 on request.
There is also a type 03, that is a good fit for our NOVA urban , that i have done many times in the past when we had the non-profit entrepreneurs network active, ie, Saturday Morning breakfast "Eat & Talk", 9:30 AM-11:30 AM.
All three types, a photo added clartiy is provided with added clarity at my ref url.
I can provide added clartiy as may be requested.
Like ? if yes, link ?
