Science and sci-fi geeks come out of the government closet!
I hope you're all watching this, Thursdays at 8:00 (repeated Fridays at 8:00) on ABC. It's by Brannon Braga, of Star Trek fame, and it's very good.
I realized that it shows the quantum nature of time, in that any observation of the results changes them. Lots of great stuff there!
I have been catching it. Not sure if I will have time to keep up with it. But, it does look good. Like you said, any observations of the future will change the future. If you see the future, how do you know what caused the future. It is the paradox about knowing the future. If you try to change the future, maybe that is exactly what caused the future, but if you go on about your business, maybe that is exactly what caused the future. In any case you will never know until it is too late, and the future becomes the present.
I like this as well! I'm an episode behind right now - thank goodness for DVR! But so far, I like it...it's a lot like Lost and Alias I think.
Did you hear the rumor that the problems with the European collider may be sabotage from the future to prevent the experiment that might give us contact with the future?
Just as believable as the report I saw today that God did it, to keep us from discovering the "God particle." Could be either, I suppose!
Love this show, but I do crack up from time to time with how INTENSE Joseph Fiennes acts. Must. Emote. With. Eyebrows. And I can't help but think of John Cho as Harold from the Harold & Kumar movies.
