First Course: FIG & WATERMELON SALAD
mint, basil, baby kale, feta cheese,
pickled balsamic onions, melon vinaigrette
COUNTRY HAM DEVILED EGGS
pimento cheese, shaved country ham

STARTERS:

Starters consisted of an heirloom tomato salad or a chilled shrimp and corn bisque. Mains were a choice of swordfish with olives and an eggplant confit or a chicken breast with spinach in a lemon butter sauce. Dessert was a…[Read more]

The Oceanaire Seafood Room was a very pleasant surprise. While many high-end restaurants serve “elf food” (tiny portions) for Restaurant Week, Oceanaire embraces the concept of wooing you to return. We all had the NE clam chowder as a starter. Mains were moule frites (mussels and French fries), a dirty (blackened) shrimp Cobb salad, and the steak…[Read more]

First day of this summer’s Restaurant Week in DC. Our first visit was to the Old Ebbitt Grill on 15th Street, NW. A restaurant in the local Clyde’s group, the Ebbitt is famous for it’s political relics as well as it’s menu. Our selections included the Italian beef sandwich (not part of their RW menu), the swordfish steak, and a fantastic mussels…[Read more]
