In my agency, the word "director" as part of a title is reserved for the guys that head up our agency: director, deputy director, etc. So the industry standard "art director" and "creative director" are out. I've substituted "designer" or "senior designer" for "art director," but am somewhat stumped on "creative director." Anyone have a similar situation? Or have some suggestions?
I have been a Creative Services Supervisor and am now a Creative Services Manager. A funny name too, but has seemed to work.
I run a small video production unit for our training division (a "one man band" operation) and my boss is currently calling me the Multimedia Designer/Developer. We enjoy the "MD" that this puts after my name! 🙂
As the only Designer/Artist for The Oklahoma Health Care Authority, my title is Media Publications Specialist.
