Thanks Robert, I already use Dropbox and Evernote on my other macs but without the USB port I think dropbox will become exponentially more important.

one trick with the documents to go. If you get an external bluetooth keyboard, DTG won’t let you ‘start’ a document with the bluetooth, some glitch, so you’d need to start a document somewhere else and sync it to your ipad, or start a few words/sentences with the on screen keyboard, then you can use the blue tooth one
One advantage of Docs to go is that you can wirelessly sync documents between your desktop adn the device. Or if there’s stuff you carry around but don’t update, you can just put it on there and not sync it.

Flipboard is awesome but also check out Pulse, other suggestions:
- Alternative Browsers: Desktop (dual screen mode) and Atomic Web
- Read it Later
- Washington Post
- New York Times
- Pages & Keynote
- Spring Pad or Evernote (both are great)
- iAnnotate PDF
- Kindle & Barnes & Noble Nook
Enjoy! PS: definitely get Instapaper & Dropbox previously mentioned.

Instapaper and Flipboard without question; I use them nearly every day. I also use Sketchbook and Photogene, which is surprisingly powerful for editing photos. The NPR, PBS and BBC news apps are all really useful, and Pandora is great if you are a music fan. You should also take download Apple’s Find iPhone which is now free. Better safe than sorry! My Kids have their faves if interested.

My list looks similar:
I have been traveling with only my iPad since April, including overseas and it has been just fine. I think that DropBox is key!
Also, I have the ZAGGMate keyboard if I am doing heavy writing/blogging. I can use the KB but do like the arrow keys for editing.

Zinio (for magazine subscriptions), AP mobile, Pulse, and Flipboard are some of my favorites.

I just got the iPad 2 about 2 weeks ago and I love it. This is my first MAC product and I am pleased. I have gone from carrying a big day planner, to my laptop, to the now sleek and stylish ipad :-). I use NotesPlus, however I am now considering Upad. Anyone have any pro’s and con’s they want to share about those apps.
Also, to answer the question I just find Wikihood and I just love. A great reference for adults and kids allike. Every outing could turn into a learning experience for the kids.
