Win a Free Ticket to NGGS 2011
June 2, 2011 at 8:50 pm #131868
Now is your chance, roll up your sleeves and put the pen to paper! We are giving away at least two registration passes to the Next Generation of Government Summit 2011. All you have to do is…
Write a Haiku about Why You Are The Next Generation of Government
Thats right! With only 17 days (# of syllables in a Haiku) left until the early bird deadline (June 19th) all you have to do is get creative and put it in a Japanese poem and we will waive the registration fee. The most creative Haiku’s will win themselves a reg pass!
If you aren’t poetically inclined, you can still pick up some savings by entering the GovLoop discount code upon registering. Use the code LoopedIn2011 and get $55 off the listed price — combine that with the Early Bird Rate and you save $110!
Here are some other things to check out:
Not exactly sure what a Haiku is? No problem, it is pretty simple. It is a three line poem with syllable restrictions per line. First line has 5 syllables, second line contains 7 and the third and final line has 5. Here is an example:
Want to Change the World (5)
Will Grow Mustache for Tickets (7)
I am Gov Rockstar (5)
Winners will be selected and announced on Monday, June 13th — so enter your poems in the comment section below before 6/13!

Give Me Some Free Tix!
(and while I can’t grow a mustache I’d be willing to do some kind of other embarrasing act just to get tickets this year) Last year rocked!!!! Plus I’m remote in Ohio right now and would love a good reason to come back for a few days 🙂
