What’s your hardware-software setup!?

Just curious what others are using for audio (or video if you are doing a video podcast) hardware as well as software.
I’ll post mine here unless I find a better way.
I have an entire wiki of hardware/software I’ve tried…

I had accessed your list earlier but since then have been unable to. The link returns me to Govloop’s main page.

Hmmm Looks like the entire WIKI section is gone…There used to be a WIKI link on the top menu bar but it appears to be gone…
I’ll see if it got moved, if not, I’ll see if I can put it somewhere else.
Shame cause I just finished editing it and updating it some. Grrr

My name is Radiah.
Question: What tools can I use on this website to record, and embed a podcast? Steve, I checked out the WiKi section as well, and it is gone; Have any suggestions?

Hi Radiah, if you follow the link in my first post, it should take you to the wiki section, but you have to go to the second page of wiki’s to see it…
It’s called Podcasting Hardware-Software.
I tried linking it above but not sure if it will work.
If you create a podcast and want to embed it (say into a web page, if that’s what you are asking) you can just post a link to the podcast directly if it’s on a hosted server…
There are lots of ways to get podcasts out. For me, I would just put them all in a podcast folder off my web server root, and put hyperlinks in the web site to the podcast files. But if you have something you want to publish to large audiences, you can always add it to iTunes or some of the other big podcast sites.

Yeah, I just have a hard time with links on this site, and a harder time linking to the Wiki stuff…
If you have any questions, just give me more details on what you are trying to do and I can post info directly here…
Sorry for the wiki troubles… I think I uploaded a .txt file of most of the wiki site info below…

No worries! I’m doing a blog on this website, and I would like to create a podcast of that blog instead of written form ( I’ve never created a podacst:>o ) I need help!

Steve, I have another question (sorry). Can you suggest a few trust worthy sites that are free that will help in creating my first podcast? There are tons of resources out there, but not all are trust worthy, have any suggestions? Thank you Steve:>)

Oh, well, can you attach files to your blog here? Like this message I am typing now, in the editor – there is an “upload files” link below …
I think it would be a neat idea if you just used a message (or the blog page) to post notes on the show, and then upload the file of your podcast (.mp3).
All you need to record a podcast is some sort of recording device that you can get the audio to your computer. It can be a USB microphone, a voice recorder, using a laptop’s built in mic, etc… Almost all computers have some sort of recorder (PC’s have Sound Recorder, Mac’s you could use GarageBand) and you don’t even need to BUY anything to start. If you want to improve your sound quality, that’s where the costs come in as you end up buying better and better gear…
I am not sure where to go for a podcast hosting site… The places I used to go are no longer online now…
