Do You Tweet Jobs?

Jobs-Jobs-Jobs! That’s something that will help get this country moving again! Do you tweet job announcements that you come across?
Govloop uses @GovGigs to announce Fed jobs. I’ll be adding that to my list @hrgovgal/jobs. To be sure I reach people who don’t know about @GovGigs yet, I will also include #Jobs #JobsFriday. Whenever I get a job announcement (no matter what Agency it comes from), I tweet it, add the link (or shortlink) to the announcement and mark the end of my tweet with those hash tags. It’s my small way of contributing to help my neighbors and perhaps improve economic stability for our nation.
Get ’em working, keep ’em working too! If you tweet job announcements you come across, perhaps all of us can help attract some more great talent to the Feds from the private sector? Here are some guidelines if you want to get started right away … http://tiny.cc/zy91q

I have tried to Tweet jobs our agency advertises along with some I find on the net that I think my connections would be interested in.

Great Pam! And if you let @GovGigs know about your vacancies, he’ll tweet them too! Hash tags like #jobs and #JobsFriday also get a nice round of review from jobseekers!

We have a complete ecosystem for tweeting jobs in Utah. It is fully integrated with our jobs information database and categorized by job categories. We are pretty serious about keeping unemployment as low as possible and are using Twitter as one more channel to connect our citizens with job information.
Take a look at http://jobs.utah.gov/jobseeker/followtweets.html
This is quite new so we don’t have a lot of followers yet, but expect it to experience continued growth and continue to take feedback from people to see how we can make it more useful in meeting their needs.
