I contacted @slunceford quite a while back to ask if they’d be adding higher education as a category. I don’t recall what he said, but since it’s not there, I’ll take that as a “no” even though the About page says it includes academics.
That specific category would be useful to me, as someone working in higher ed, and since we’re often partners with agencies at all levels of government it seems as if that would be useful to people in other agencies as well.
When I click through to a category such as State & Local, I don’t understand the logic of the order in which accounts appear. Clearly not alphabetical. Most recent update? It would be helpful to get some cues on the system.
It took some poking around to figure out how one gets ADDED to the list. No button for it in the navigation, and you have to read the About page to learn that you’re supposed to send them a tweet. I’d like to see two options: one through Twitter, one an ability to add directly at the site. That would enhance its functionality as a web directory. I don’t see the @WSUSpokane account I manage in the Washington section–guess it’s time to tweet them.
