SD Area-Local Disableds network to help other disableds with filling out paperwork; swap computer parts to optimize out systems, help fight deppression which is usually dependent on the number of freinds and and the amount of contacts a person recieves.
Every disabled service person should be computer savvy. I they are not, they need to learn. Modern e-mail and Instant messaging bring others to you.
With modern technology, I am able to aggravate my freinds on a regular basis, and they send me questions, jokes, stories, and pokes all the time.I spent the first few years after my stroke looking at the wall, depressed. Then someone gave me an old P-II computer. It opened up the world for me again.
If you want to know how I manage, I would certainly like to talk to you. I have never been in the service, but I know about the slow healing climb to get back into the world. E-Mail me [email protected]
