I just received this news in my email today. It seems GSA has signed agreements with Web 2.0 providers–Flickr, YouTube, Vimeo, and blip.tv. The article mentions that GSA will continue to negotiate deals with additional Web 2.0 providers. It also mentioned that Twitter is already approved for use since its terms of service is already compatible with federal use. So what does this mean to the other Web 2.0 providers not mentioned like Facebook, MySpace, Ning, etc. Are programs not allowed to utilize these providers? Is use of these sites decided at the agency level thus they can negotiate their own agreements?
