I think the graphics are outstanding. Before I created the Canadian Government 2.0 group, i connected with the owner of the Government 2.0 group over the US Flag logo because the group has many members from all over the world. The response was that the group was supposed to be tied to US groups that meet f2f (remember Summer of Gov). On that note, I agree, we need to carve out our own space, and now that GovLoop operates on the profit model, we should consider alternatives. I am in favour of moving to a non-gov platform, supported by the community for the community. What I would caution against is getting disconnected from the discussion on GovLoop given its value. Now that I think about it more, just creating a Canadian GovLoop group within the current GovLoop framework will limit us whereas a Canadian GovLoop running parallel to this one, and not owned by a commercial entity has its merits. We can always work out the Accessibility issues moving forward and I think Ning is a good platform.
