I posted a question in an Enterprise 2.0 group that I will ask here as well. When thinking about Web 2.0 (in the form of Government 2.0/Enterpirse 2.0), which is better to do “first”, explore Web 2.0 internally first before taking it public, that is, outside the organization (agency/department/gov)?
I’m a believer in an organization “getting their feet” on Social Media/Web 2.0 and understanding the technologies before taking it public with citizens (customers). It helps to build confidence and a comfort level with the technology, but also stimulates innovation in uses by internal people on how to best employ the techology to build a great online citizen (customer) experience.
Your thoughts? What is happening in your organization?
