Many of us share the love of cycling and have put our passion for it help special causes, whether it’s i support of those less fortunate, fighting disease, injustice, or financial support for a local elementary school or parks department, we often ride for more than just ourselves.

For me, I recently became involved with Adventures For The Cure while riding in the ADA Tour de Cure Maryland 2009. AFC was founded by Adam Driscoll (a Type 1 diabetic) and Patrick Blair, and their story is amazing. By the way, Adam is a Federal employee and IT specialist at U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers For Medicaid and Medicare.
Baltimore Sun just published a story that sums up quite well why I became involved with Adventures For The Cure and its efforts and their participation in Race Across America (RAAM), a grueling 3,000+ mile bicycle race across the United States.
