I’ve not broken out all the stats that we have but found some good examples of the Highways Agency widgets being used and installed by the public. They did a soft-launch so not many people know they are there but people found them anyway.
The South East of England widget had 115 installs since January 1st 2010 some have been taken by Local Authorities, Transport organisations and tourist companies but 17 have been installed on desktops, 18 in iGoogle and 2 on Facebook.
The North East of England had 69 installs with 11 on the Desktop, 10 in iGoogle and 4 in Facebook.
The key figure is that these widgets increased daily email subscriptions to other HA content by over 50%. So the widgets lead to increased engagement opportunities thorughout the HA.
Hope this helps.
