There are a few basic rules I would like to offer.
Keep it short. One page is best but no more than two.
Black and white only. Most resumes are photo copied a couple of times. Colors etc. get washed out.
Do your home work. Know as much about the organization and the position as possible.
Highlight your strengths as they relate to the position. This is as close to perfection as you will ever get.
Remember, the whole purpose is to get an interview. Create interest in yourself so other will want to know more about you.
