Our client, Pitney Bowes Management Services, overviews how the State of Indiana has saved $3 million per year with the initiation of a program launched by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels entitled Operating with New Efficiency – or OneIndiana for short.
Several inefficiencies were discovered in the state where “multiple agencies each had their own independent services.” According to the article, “As each agency grew, they had established and maintained their own mailrooms, courier services, copy centers, printing vendors and document management systems. This may not seem like a problem to many, but the state was losing the economy of scale that comes from operating one single set of services across all of the agencies.”
This article also includes a free download to check out on the OneIndiana effort and how it saved the State of Indiana a significant amount of money during the process.
