According to a Forbes article published last week, over 2,250 people have already been hospitalized this season due to the flu epidemic. Despite the impact that this can have on the federal workforce, flu outbreaks rarely spark the same disaster planning or COOP conversations that hurricanes and other disaster do. But there are things that government agencies can do to prepare for flu outbreaks, and ways that they can counteract the impact that a sick workforce can have on productivity.
