UI: Everything GovLoop does is great, however I have hopes that Ning may step up to the challenge of continuous improvement.
Without trying to sound negative, GovLoop has outgrown its original structure and/or Ning’s technology.
Being able to have Topic areas within Groups, Calendars and Events within Groups, truly threaded-discussions (e.g., Blackboard-like) within Topics, advanced Profile features (additional ranking elements – not just by participation, expertise levels within respective industry, “Like,” “Recommend,” etc.), and a few other features which would advance GovLoop’s organization and utility would be HUGE in promoting its recognition as a venue for actually getting work done!
What I’ve shared is along the lines/an expansion of what Andrew presented in his #3 addition and Adriel’s point.
I realize that a “document-share” option is already present to some degree by being able to “Upload Files,” but I’ve not tried to search for anything in particular, so don’t know how functional that has been. Are there any imposed size limitations which GovLoop is up against?
Thanks, as always, for listening!
