The new 8m program seems to be a set-aside (only for women-owned businesses) yet still based on NAICS codes, revenues,etc. I have not read all of the language around this – but was suppose to go into effect on FEB 4, 2011. There are plenty of consultants & firms that have opinions and further insight on the program and the…[Read more]
Here is my response on LinkedIn. While I think it is great to add another policy to help disadvantaged businesses, there needs to be more education – and PSA to let the public know of federal programs like SCORE & PTACs that are great places to get a B2G education. http://linkd.in/gzfCBd

All too often companies pursue the GSA Sched is hopes that it is the holy grail and will lead to abundant gov sales, when in fact it is simply a marketing tool that some gov buyers may use — and others do not. Additionally, it takes a long time investment to obtain the Sched and it also comes with a sales quota as well as a “GSA Tax” (IFF Fee).…[Read more]
