My apolgies for the absence, but i just spent 17 14-hour days in a secure building running a training scenario.
I did do a lot of social networking, just in the military exercise environment on a secure network. We were able to replicate Twitter, Facebook and Blos for the training audience to counter propoganda, place strategic and tactical messaging, and simply communicate with the public. It was a very interesting test, and we managed senior leader engagement through social media. Heading to a conference in two weeks where I may be able to find some experts to make the exercise experience more realistic. In June I head to the Information Operations Conference in London to hear some great speakers discuss information operations in the crisis/combat environment and get some lessons learned. Anyone interested in attending, email me and I will send you the details.
