Since most of our government training budgets have continously declined each year, YouTube has been beneficial in offering a wealth of training on just about everything from Tips, Tricks and Shortcuts, Graphic Design, Microsoft Office and the new Windows 8. YouTube has quickly become my training friend.

Does your agency offer Wellness Programs that promote health and fitness to lower your insurance premiums? Our agency offers a voluntary program that requires each participant to pass certain thresholds to qualify for discounts up to a maximum.

Yes, we provide all types of training for our staff. We also have a Learning Resource Center to hold the training. Most of the time, we have to recruit folks to come to training…go figure.

Generally with budget cuts and pay freezes comes downsizing. Is it fair to have your workload continually increase while your pay doesn’t equal up to the additional workload?

Our city and county have been looking at consolidation or merger for years. We finally consolidated on 911 emergency services, but that is as far as we have gotten. Our county does however contract some of our finance department services and GIS.

Has anyone heard of NAGARA, the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators? How does it compare to ARMA and AIIM? Also is NARA still around, or is NAGARA a division of it?

What do you think about County and local governments using Paypal to collect payments, fees and other government services. Since most of the public is already familiar with Paypal and the security aspects of credit card information is already in place, could this be a lower cost and more efficient way of accepting payments?
