Government Fit for Humans? a surprising conversation about high-performance government on DATA.GOV
Jeanne Holmes, Open Gov champion at DATA.GOV (one of the principal initiatives for Fed. Open Government), posted this group’s recent article “Towards High Performance Government” exploring some of the business benefits emerging from greater e-participation. The slide deck lays out a simplified framework for equipping public servants to be champions of the public interest.
Participation and transparency aren’t just politically appealing to the electorate; studies show greater staff-citizen engagement increases staff job satisfaction, organizational mission performance, as well as, citizen trust in government.
