My top three soft skills in order of priority are written and verbal communication skills, act with discretion (truth/honesty), and pay attention to detail.
I need written & verbal communication skills as a LER specialist in order to provide clear easily understood advice and guidance to managers.
As a LER specialist I need to act with discretion and tell managers things they do not necessarily want to hear even if they don’t agree with my recommendations.
As an advisor to management I must pay close attention to detail when dealing with statutory and regulatory requirements.
