And years from now with all of our thoughts, ideas, stories on digital formats, what will our great grand kids know about our world? I cannot pass my kindle around when I read a really great book. I cannot write the names of those who shared the book in the jacket. And you can’t walk around someone’s library to see what they have read over the years; one’s library says a great deal about them!
Having said that, I installed the Kindle program on my tablet and I suspect I will be getting a Kindle this year for my birthday. I am torn – I like technology, but I have an old soul – I still like reading a hand written letter from a good friend; I like using a fountain pen on good paper. It is a piece of them, not some antiseptic email, or worse – a Tweet!
