Blending in to Encourage Change
In the current era of diversity and celebrating the individual, we are still met with the social workplace conundrum of becoming “one of the group.” Those who often go against the grain too quickly often are not around for very long. However, change is an important part of any agency and age old bureaucratic practices must evolve in order to maintain effectiveness.
Government consists of certain norm and behaviors. To introduce change to an agency, you need to be familiar with these norms and know how to follow them in order to build partnerships and alliances for positive change.

To hear more on this topic and others come to the 3rd Annual GovLoop/Young Government Leaders Next Generation of Government Training Summit (July 26-27, 2012). For more information or to register please visit our website.
