How do you make effective decisions at your agency?
Sound decision making comes from experience. The problem is not that younger government employees do not make effective decisions, but rather that they have not had the opportunity to gain the experience to make those decisions. Simply, young govies are not being empowered by their employer. Many in Generation Y look to the internet to gain their knowledge base. The web is certainly a great resource, but nothing can beat real-time knowledge from a veteran government employee like a supervisor.
How are you gaining the skills to make effective decisions at your agency?
