I am not sure about this group. I have just retired from the VA and am one of the founders of WorldVistA, a 501(c)(3) that is bringing the Department of Veterans’ Affairs integrated software system to the community hospitals around the world. The community hospitals in this country can use a system this sophisticated to manage medical patient information. We are directly interested in technology transfer and the establishment of community where the communities can be self-supporting and start innovating from local need and develop from their own Subject Matter Experts, the people at the point of care. VistA is an enterprise-wide solution system that was built to be extended. It is available for free, actually more than free, it is FOIA. This is the means of lowering healthcare costs in America and the rest of the world.
