John – I agree that management has no loyalty to employees. It becomes more and more difficult to care about the job. I see so much half-assed work get done on a daily basis that it just kills me. My lead, who is one of the great 14s that I know, once told me that my own personal work ethic would prevent me from becoming apathetic. My desire to do great work would outshine the beating I take in the service. This was true until they extended our pay and hiring freeze again. I am lucky. I am a 9. Most people will never get that. But everyone else around me save for a small group of us are 12/13s. Why promote me ever when I am doing that level work now without the pay? As for USAJOBS, I have no faith in that process. Most of the jobs I want are 12/13 but time in grade kills me. So, I am stuck. I will say this, I know how tough it is for FA and I admire the work you all do. I make training for FA and am proud to call you all my clients, but that does not make my days any easier.
