A contractors costs associated with responding to an RFP grow by the day. It’s is really important for buyers to be aware of what is required of the contractors in order to just consider submitting a proposal. Are you scheduling pre-proposal meetings that require contractors to be away from the office for one or two days and incur associated rising costs? Are those requirements keeping the smaller, yet qualified contractors away? Don’t be surprised if no one shows up. It may not have happed to you but it happens!! Consider a “virtual” alternative when planning a pre-proposal meeting. Not only is it more efficient and effective for all but it gives the buyer a lot more flexibility. There’s no question pre-proposal meeting via webinar encourages contractor participation when everyone is treated equally, the cost is negligible and it’s a transparent process that’s easily accessible by all. No cost to buying agency. http://www.greenproposals.com
