Steve Lunceford replied to the topic The 4-Hour Work Week…Will Government Ever Get There? in the forum Human Resources 7 years ago
I think all organizations will get there sooner or later. The question is when and how far will they go. This is a massive cultural disruption to both government and commercial sectors.

Where this annoys me most in an official news product. I seem to find a lot of grammatical errors whenever reading USA Today’s iPad version.

Anne and Sally divvied up the questions they didn’t get to in the livechat and have provided the following answers….
Q1. We have trouble getting mentors or sponsors in my federal agency 🙁 Also, can’t we move up and have meaning without joining management?
A. (Anne) first, remember that mentors and sponsors are different and serve distinct…[Read more]

Thanks to all for joining yesterday! Sally and Anne really enjoyed engaging with everyone and are working on responses to the questions above, so stay tuned to this thread.
They both also left the chat thinking that Deloitte’s research and expertise in this area could be of interest to the GovLoop community in a way that extends beyond just a 30…[Read more]

I actually wouldn’t have a problem *IF* they would also make it easy to determine how a city could claim it’s own page….
Why do you think that page is created by FB corporate vs a user? Is it some sort of deal FB has with Wikipedia?

Steve Lunceford replied to the topic What do you do when someone sets up a fake city Facebook page? in the forum Forum Discussions 9 years, 6 months ago
Wondering if posting to the wall of http://Facebook.com/government may help as well….didn’t see name squatting specifically addressed on that fanpage….

Forget being involved in government, as a fan of comedy, I’m saddened by the fact people found this skit funny at all… 😀

I’m with Gwynne – it would have stung a lot more if the skit itself had been funny. But this skit, combined with the recent Pew report on lack of trust in government, illustrates the perception of government not being able to get things done is quite pervasive, especially when you get out of the Beltway bubble.
That’s why I think the incentives…[Read more]

Steve Lunceford replied to the topic What’s the buzz about Census Ads at This Sunday’s Super Bowl? in the forum Forum Discussions 9 years, 10 months ago
Joanne, great comms campaign built around the SuperBowl buy. One thing you could/should look at adding is a bit more interactivity, perhaps @ing some of those who are questioning the dollars spent and sending them to the FAQ. Only pushing out to your Twitter followers will only spread the message so far – you can increase that reach by directly…[Read more]

The other bug works because it has all of the key logo elements in place: color, graphical arrows and the name. However I think it will most likely be second seed once in use because of how small the elements will be to read when shrunk.
I think you need a version of the G with gold L and perhaps a version of the G (or GL) with the arrows as an…[Read more]

The naked G loses too many of the brand elements to be a good button (you lose part of the name by dumping the L, you lose the arrows that visually represent the loop and you lose…[Read more]
