I was thrilled when you said yes to being one of the presenters, Dave. You’re so energetic, sharp, and funny.
I’m really looking forward to hearing your presentation, “How to Use the Presidential Management Fellowship Program to Develop Your Next Generation of Leaders.”
As for the 0% fat and 100% idea, I love that description. The conference doors open at 8am and we’ll have 18 minutes of welcome from George Washington University’s career center, RECSOLU, and CollegeRecruiter.com and then 12 minutes to get food, find bathrooms, and chat with friends. Then we’ll have Matt Collier of the Office of Personnel Management deliver the 18 minute keynote on the new Internship Program and New Graduates Program. He’s great and the topic couldn’t be better for the audience. We’ll then break for 12 minutes, have another 18 minute presentation, break for 12 minutes, etc. all the way until we adjourn at 1pm.
It will be quite interesting to hear presentations that people normally get 60 to 75 minutes to deliver instead delivered in 18 minutes. They won’t be able to go off on tangents or try to discuss three big ideas. Instead, they’ll need to be razor focused on the one topic they wish to discuss. It should be energetic, sharp, and fun…like you.
