The Seattle Federal Executive Board Alternate Dispute Resolution Program offers two trainings each year for supervisors that have strong communication components. The first is called “Dealing wtih Performance and Conduct Issues.” It’s taught by Robbie Kunreuther who is a former Labor and Employee Relations Specialist with the Department of the Navy. Robbie is also the author of many articles related to communicaiton and conflict resolution as well as a certified mediator. The next two day class is in January of 2011, and here is a link.
The second class is called “Conclict Resolution and Prevention for Supervisors.” This dynamic, one day course is taught by Kate Walton, a seasoned executive trainer with more than 15 years of corporate communications experience, including an intensive focus on crisis management. This class will be offered twice in 2011, and interested parties can contact me for details.
