Hi Alan,
Thanks a lot!I will try to convert those files.
Further consideration: maybe I faced this issue in the wrong way. I try to explain.
There are different sources, some of them publish their data in a “re-usable” format, some don’t.
So my next step should be the sources selection, so to draw a comparison table for all the users…[Read more] -

I am working on an experimental project based on drupal to display risk maps and geolocated information. The hard thing is to manage data [such as kml files] that have different structured information.
Anyone is working on something similar? Thanks!

Jim Jones pointed out a crucial point.
My mother tongue is Italian and I am aware that my [beautiful] language has a weak point: I can speak for one hour time without saying nothing. In some ways I could say that my language allows this degeneration of rhetoric. Keeping it short and simple is not embedded in the my language DNA. And when someone…[Read more] -

Dustin, I like the label “beta”!
Yes, we are at the beta stage.
My experience as a missionary in web 2.0 for risk management I realized that the small achievement I am reaching, are mainly due to three factors:
– my personal passion and patience: talking alking alking to people
– experimenting so to proof it works
– good references.
It is not…[Read more] -

Very interesting topic.
Looking at my experience I have a suspect: when innovation is not driven by profit, it requires a stronger commitment to overtake past dependencies, constraints. Usually people say “The way we have being always doing works, why do we have to change?”.

In my opinion Google Page is minimal and essential; and It works.
CNN ones heavy to download and in someways I perceived “old style”.
