Jim Jones pointed out a crucial point.
My mother tongue is Italian and I am aware that my [beautiful] language has a weak point: I can speak for one hour time without saying nothing. In some ways I could say that my language allows this degeneration of rhetoric. Keeping it short and simple is not embedded in the my language DNA. And when someone does it, some people may say “it is too poor”. e.g. when I develop content for websites, some clients say “it is too short, I would milk it for all it is worth”…. the result, in my opinion, is that the focus of the message is not clearly pointed out.
I do agree with the fact do not KISS could be a natural attitude of human beings, but it could be related to the fact that truth is short and simple and the truth could cause some fear.
