Hi All!
I ve been using Govloop for awhile and very much enjoy the whole concept. I have searched for something similar in Canada but to no avail.
So I am just grateful that Canadians are free to explore and use this Knowledge Network. Hello to everyone in this Group!

@laurabeazley and others:
Good news! Actually, there is a new tool created by the Government of Canada for collaboration and networking with other levels of Canadian government, academia and post-secondary students.
GCcollab (gccollab.ca) was just launched this past fall and currently has more than 2700 members.
GCcollab runs on an open source platform, (Elgg) and has many features, such as collaborating in closed or open groups, sharing documents and links, posting on a Twitter-like platform, and creating communal polls and events. It is accessible to academics and students of all Canadian universities and colleges, via their school email accounts and to Canadian federal, provincial and territorial public servants and there are plans to open it further.
This cloud-based collaboration tool will also be leveraged in the future to promote recruitment opportunities to those interested in joining the federal public service.
We are putting together an outreach plan specific to the provincial and territorial governments. We would like to learn more about potential areas of collaboration.
Let us know what you think and we can discuss more fully.
In the meantime, I invite you to create an account on GCcollab at GCcollab.ca (using your work email) and invite me as your colleague so you can try out the platform.
