I’m actually super relieved the SEC didn’t add Texas A&M (for now) but had they it would have made some major shifts with current scheduling and critical rival games that have developed within the SEC. There were rumors of adding two teams geographically west and move Auburn to SEC East — what would we have done without the Iron Bowl every year?
As for your question, who knows who they’d add. There was talk of Missouri (which I think is a bad idea…not quite SEC caliber in my opinion) or FSU (which makes me sick…thinking about the ‘Noles in such a classy conference is ridiculous — Can you tell I’m a Gator 😉 others in the conversation have been Clemson and Georgia Tech which seem logical but I think Georgia and USCeast would have similar issues I have when thinking about FSU in the SEC.
All in all, I’m obsessed with SEC football and I don’t think there is anything wrong with its current alignment…lets not change what is seemingly perfect (5 back-to- back BCS National Championships)!
