The National Center for Public Performance/School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University-Newark, in collaboration with GovPerformance, is initiating a research project regarding how state and local governments are using performance information; what effect the use of that information is having on the cost and effectiveness of programs; how the information is communicated; the difficulties encountered in using it effectively; and the obstacles impeding progress in the use of performance information. We are asking for your responses to four important questions on performance information. If you are a member of several online networks with a focus on performance information for governments you may also see these questions on several of the forums in which you participate. After we have received a critical mass of answers to all of the questions, several preliminary research papers on the results of the surveys and other research into the subjects will be prepared and published for you to read and respond to. You can expect to receive those research papers electronically on a priority basis this summer. Please respond by April 23rd. Your comments will be anonymous. Just follow the instructions on the Survey Monkey link below. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CG7K6Y9 Thanking you in advance.
