I don’t know about you, but nothing says exceptional customer service like timely responses. As a customer, when I send an email, I am extremely impressed when I get an email the day of. I am even more impressed when I get an instant (or almost instant) response!
This is the approach I take with customers. My thought is, I’m in front of my computer all day and always have email alerts popping up. If I get an email when I’m in the middle of something, or have to take some time to give the right information in my response, I often send an immediate reply that explains that I have received the email and when I will respond with more information.
