First of all, congratulations on your selection. I was a 2008 PMF and I am also in Texas. I will tell you that, from my perspective, the opportunities seem to be quite a bit less outside of Washington. Nevertheless, the first thing you should do if you haven’t already is find out who the FDA PMF coordinator is and contact that person. You should be able to find this out on the PMF website. Let him/her know that you are interested and what you are willing to accept as far as job or location. I believe you have until the next application period to try to find a placement (if things haven’t changed in the past few years). You should also decide what other agencies interest you and contact those PMF coordinators as well. Let them know you are interested in positions in Texas. You can also search USAJobs for open positions in Texas and contact the POCs for those announcements. There are lots of gov jobs out there so I am confident that you will find one if you put in the effort. Best of luck.
